Diversity and Integration

May 2nd 2009

Every couple of months, the Newfoundland and Labrador Multi-cultural Arts and Folks Council will host a dinner and dance event at Pleasantville, St. John's, Newfoundland.

Its recent event was held on Saturday evening, May 2nd 2009. What a successful event organized by the group under Thadeus Dreher. An excellent MC as usual with lots of energy and humor. A superb energetic "young" senior at age of 91, repeatedly demonstrated his amazing ability to entertain our crowd in the celebration of racial integration and diversity in Newfoundland. Many great performances were showcased by various ethnic groups and individuals. It was nice to see the Fraize family doing the musical/solo/sax peformance. The Japanese song by Nami was also a surprise hit and our multi-talented Tzu-hao was busy changing from Chinese to Indian custumes in two dances. What a wonderful saturday evening for all to celebrate the true spirit of multi-culturalism.

The meal was good other than those soggy spring rolls.
